Championships "estaduais" (from every state in this continent is Brazil) are to resume after a tense and difficult of all-out transfers from the Brazilian clubs, that period is moreover not yet complete: she will run in a disorderly manner on the basis of states, for example interrupting March 12 for the State of Rio (clubs Flamengo, Fluminense, Botafogo and Vasco ) or February 25 for clubs in the State of São Paulo (Corinthians, Palmeiras, São Paulo FC Santos).
If we nevertheless want to make a first assessment of this recruitment period, already well advanced, I think the emergence of a strong tendency shared by almost all major clubs: the choice of experienced players, wide thirties, almost to the dawn of their retirement from the sport, but we say they remain "big" names, which may satisfy the Torcida demanding and with a little luck to play more or less correctly, even though 2-hour, in the state championships or the next Brasileirão.
So if we take a look at the (not so) new heads of the leading teams of Brazil, we see that the clubs were not in early youth:
- Atletico Mineiro : No big recruits on the field, but a reinforcement of weight on the bench five times Brazilian champion as a coach, and incidentally the tecnico with the biggest "melon" in the country, I named Vanderlei Luxemburgo. The biggest salary in the country also (not Ronaldo), players and coaches alike!
- Botafogo : Big bets with El Loco Abreu , the Uruguayan striker globetrotter (16 clubs already!), 33 years old, whose last act in fame is that he scored the goal that called Uruguay for the next World Cup in AfSud. Pictured here with the idol Zagallo at the time of its official presentation. - Corinthians: The record in the style "I recruit the pre-retired" with it anyway: *
Roberto Carlos , Coming from Fenerbahce and Real Madrid before. 5,000 people to greet him during his official presentation. He said he had the legs of 20 years and a motivation to hell ... We'll see, but 37 years in 2010, it's been hours! *
Iarley , Goias striker, once before, with some success (winner of the Copa Libertadores), for Internacional of Porto Alegre. Good complementary player, certainly, but 36 years on the clock in March. it makes a doublet at 70 years still in combination with the Gronaldo! :) *
Tcheco, midfielder former Gremio, a kid when compared to Robby Carlos (only 33 years ...)
- São Paulo FC : No question either to miss the club's third age for Paulistas lights, which will come from Marcelinho Paraiba Curitiba FC , the guy haired 34-decks years of age who has left a lasting impression on fans in Marseille in 2000 (19 games, 3 goals ...). To his credit he did a good 2009 season with Curitiba, planting still 14 goals with partners Wooden ... and relegated elsewhere! Photo of foppish following cons ...
- Santos: Nice perf of Peixe also with the recruitment of their former idol Giovanni, who still celebrate his 38 years on February 2 next year. The guy still playing for 4 years in clubs cardboard (Etnikos Greece, Mogi Mirim, Brazil ...). Anyway it seems he was a golaço in training, so ...
- Vasco da Gama : eaters Bacalhau (Vasco is the club of Portuguese immigrants in Rio) were very strong, since they forced out of retirement striker Dodo , who had taken two years of suspension following a positive drug test ... when he played for Fluminense. A priori, a good player, since it is here called "the scorer of great goals" ( Artilheiro dos Gols Bonitos ). But hey, he'll still to its 36 pins, the dodo ...
You add to this gathering of the good old Pet ( Dejan Petkovic ), the playmaker Flamengo doucettement running towards her 38 years, and incidentally one of the best players in the Championship 2009 (as How old was it good!), and you're a good team guy all rusty ... but perhaps for good in 2010? Response in the coming weeks and months!
